Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Combined Authority, including the Leadership Board and any committees and sub-committees.

Sometimes items of business may be required to be discussed in private. If this happens, members of the public will be asked to leave the meeting. Any private items are normally left until the end of the meeting.

Whilst meetings are open to the public, members of the public do not have a right to speak but may do so if invited by the Chair. If a member of the public has a special interest in an item on the agenda and wants to speak, they should send a request via the ‘Contact Us’ page. The request will be sent to the Chair who will make a decision.

Agendas for committee meetings will be available on this website five working days before each meeting, in the section for the respective Committee Meeting.

Members of the public may also take photographs, film, audio-record or report via social media during the public part of any committee meeting as long as this does not disrupt theĀ proceedings.

For further details, please refer to the protocol for members of the public wishing to report on meetings, which can be found here.
