People are reminded that they can have their say on plans for devolution in the North East.

The North East Combined Authority (neca) is holding a number of consultation events and people can also give their views online via the neca website.

The next event will be held on Monday (Nov 9) at Gateshead Civic Centre between 11am and 1pm.

Further events will take place on;

• Tuesday 10 November, 5pm until 7pm in Northumberland;

• Thursday 12 November, 1pm until 3pm in Newcastle; and

• Monday 16 November, 6.30pm until 8.30pm in North Tyneside.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register in advance by emailing necadevolution@newcastle.gov.uk

Details about the proposed devolution agreement for the North East and a short video giving information on what it would mean for people living and working in the region are also on the website.

Members of the combined authority and the Government signed the proposed agreement on Friday 23 October. Final approval remains subject to a number of factors, including further public consultation.
